If you’ve been craving some Marina del Rey restaurant cuisine the past few days and noticed some unusually long lines (and even longer waits)— there’s a delicious and incredibly worthwhile reason for the crowds: Dine L.A. is back until February 1st! If you’ve never indulged in the gluttonous fun before, do yourself a favor and get in the eating game because it’s a great excuse to try out all of the fab restaurants surrounding Shores.
Dine LA Week 1/19/15 – 2/1/15
If you’re a Dine L.A. newbie, here’s how it works: Participating restaurants will offer special prix-fixe menus for lunch and/or dinner to give you a taste of some of their best dishes. Remember that tax and tip aren’t included in the quoted price, so plan to drop a little extra when the bill arrives.
Ready for the fun, Shores peeps? Here are the Marina restaurants taking part until February 1st. Click on their names for the restaurant’s address, phone number (for reservations!) and the Dine L.A. menus.

Get ready for some holiday magic, Marina del Rey style! A running tradition since 1962, The 52nd Annual Holiday Boat Parade is sailing this way!
Marina del Rey Holiday Boat Parade.
There are many great options to enjoy the show: you could grab your binoculars and head up to Shores’ Sky Terraces to catch the boats and fireworks, or if you really want to be immersed in the party, make a reservation at one of Fisherman’s Village hotspots and enjoy a front-row seat for the festivities, including the sweet after party at Whiskey Red’s (complimentary desserts and a DJ? Yes, please!).
Last weekend, Shores proved once again that when it comes to great lifestyles, we’ve got it going on. Our exciting Fall-Fest on November 8 was a mammoth hit with an impressive crowd of visitors enjoying four full hours of great food, mingling, tours and special offers.
In case you missed it, allow us to give you a quick overview to get your envy juices flowing:
We invited the best local restaurants and businesses to show off their goods in our beautiful courtyard last Saturday, and boy, did our visitors enjoy every moment. Killer Café (of Killer Shrimp), Baja Cantina, Marina’s Italian Kitchen and Fresh Brother’s are just some of the restaurants that set up a tasting showcase for our guests, while businesses like Jeromlé Jewelry, Healthy Spot organic pet food and The Pro SUP Shop gave prime examples of why going local is the best. As if that wasn’t enough, guests also enjoyed tours of Shores’ gorgeous model homes, giving them a glimpse into the lifestyle that all of Marina del Rey is buzzing about.
The Shores’ team sends out their thanks to everyone who came by on Saturday—and for those who took advantage of our “One-Day Only Move-In Specials”—We’re looking forward to welcoming you home to Shores!
Happy Fall, everyone!
Spring may not officially start until March 20th, but we’re pretty sure Marina del Rey never got the memo. With the weather getting more beautiful every day, there are tons of ways to take advantage of another sunny day at Shores.
Dive Right In
Who could say no to a refreshing swim in the pool while the rest of the country is huddled, shivering next to their heaters? Take a relaxing afternoon poolside siesta or start your training for the 2016 Summer Olympics (and be sure to always use that sunscreen!).
Grab Some Grub
Good food, good friends, and good conversation – what more can you ask for? With Shores’ top-of-the-line BBQs at your disposal, there is no better way to enjoy the outdoors than throwing some fresh shrimp on the barbie.
Take in the Sights
After a packed day in the pool and a packed belly of tasty food, it’s time for a change of venue. Lounge in style at the Shores sky terrace and enjoy amazing water and courtyard views at sunset.
With so many great options, what is your favorite spring activity at Shores? Let us know!
The Shores team wants to wish every one of our residents—and future residents—a safe, happy, healthy Christmas and New Year’s. Whether you’re celebrating at home at Shores, visiting family out of town or venturing out for a Marina del Rey celebration, we hope you have the greatest holiday season yet!
Because we care, here are a few common sense tips to keep in mind as you’re getting ready for the festivities:
1) If you celebrate with cocktails at a party or bar, have a designated driver on-call (or have a taxi number on-hand) to get you home safely.
2) If you’re hosting a party, have non-alcoholic beverages on-hand—and for those who over-indulge in alcohol, make sure to call a taxi to get them home safely.
3) Pet Owners: keep your fur babies inside and comfy. (Fireworks are startling for humans…imagine how they seem to your pets!)
Happy Holidays, everyone! We’ll see you in 2014!
