Without a doubt, one of the coolest perks of being a Shores resident is your location: you’re close to all of the action in Marina del Rey, Venice Beach, and Abbot Kinney. Tasty Thursdays. Boat parades. Body building contests. Music festivals. The best beaches in the world. All of it is just a short walk or bike ride away from Shores!
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21-22, residents will get another taste of the cool and coastal lifestyle with the annual Venice Beach Music Festival—just a short, 8-minute bike ride away from Shores. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., you can join hundreds of Venice locals—for FREE at Windward Plaza Park at 1 Windward Avenue—to tribute to the music, art, dance, and cultural milestones of this famous, yet eccentric community. As the sister festival to the Venice Spring Fling, the festival will include lively performances from Willie Chambers, Meet Me at the Pub, LOONER, The Familyhood Nextperience, Ya Harissa Bellydance Theater, Jet West, Michael Jost, ATS Bellydance and Drums, Champa 51, Stevie Starlight, Samba Da Mundaca and more. There will also be food, vendor booths, and a whole lot more.
The Venice Beach Mustic Festival is one of many fun annual festivals and events that happen close to home at Shores. Make sure to check it out!
